BECCIMA ready for Health Insurance
The Executive Council of Benue Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BECCIMA) has expressed their readiness to key into Benue State Health Insurance Scheme. This assertion was made during a meeting with BNSHIA Management at the Return Press in Makurdi, recently. The major outcome of the meeting was to familiarize and have stronger mutual relationship between BNSHIA and BECCIMA towards achieving the target of Universal Health Coverage for all.
The Executive Secretary, Benue State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Kenneth N Korve who chaired the meeting did justice on history of BNSHIA and its implementation of their mandate. He also discussed the benefit package and scope of coverage that prompted them to key into the programme.
BECCIMA is ready to key into Benue State Health Insurance Scheme because of its variety of advantages.
Responding, President of the Executive Council of Benue Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Mr. Levi Yakubu expressed enthusiasm for BNSHIA advocacy visit and promised to key into the scheme. He added that BECCIMA is the umbrella body of the organized private sector in Benue State whose major roles are to encourage the growth of private businesses, promote cooperation and engender a greater understanding in the business community of the State.
Dr. Ame Idoko, Founder of Madonna Hospital, Makurdi also encouraged BNSHIA on her visionary approach and tactics for achieving the universal health coverage for all.
Dr. Mhir Aii Iyenge gave vote of thanks and appreciated BNSHIA management for finding them worthy to includes BECCIMA on this scheme.
