The Executive Secretary explained that the BHCPF is a Federal Government initiative aimed at achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by ensuring that every Nigerian, especially the poor and vulnerable, has access to affordable and quality healthcare services. He highlighted key milestones recorded by the Agency, including the enrollment of beneficiaries across the 23 Local Government Areas, strengthening of healthcare facilities under the BHCPF, and collaboration with development partners to enhance service delivery.
Professor Korve further noted that the Agency is working tirelessly to expand health insurance coverage to informal sector workers and other groups, as part of its contribution toward realizing the Federal Government’s health agenda. He emphasized that the BNSHIA remains committed to transparency, accountability, and effective utilization of resources to improve the health and well-being of Benue residents.
